Most people on Klamath Deals are your neighbors. A few are not. These habits keep you safe:
- Never send money in advance. No deposits, gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency or payment-app transfers for something you have not seen.
- Never share bank details, passwords or verification codes. Klamath Deals will never ask you for them.
- Be wary of pressure. Someone who wants to move the conversation elsewhere quickly, offers to pay more than you asked, or tells you to hurry is a warning sign.
- Deal locally and in person. If a buyer or seller cannot meet, walk away.
- If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
