Klamath Deals Terms
1. Who we are
KlamathDeals.com ("Klamath Deals") is a website owned and operated by Lucky Duck Productions LLC ("we", "us"). It is the community classifieds of Klamath Living magazine and is linked from KlamathLiving.com. These terms govern KlamathDeals.com only; KlamathLiving.com has its own Content Disclaimer.
2. What Klamath Deals is
A free notice board for people in the Klamath Basin: yard, garage and estate sales; fundraisers and bake or food sales; community sales and markets; lost and found; free items; wanted notices; and community notices. It is not a store, an auction or a payment service, and we are not a party to anything arranged through a post.
3. Your poster account
To post you need a free poster account. You give us your name, email, and optionally a phone number; we check the sign-up for spam and email you a link to confirm the address is yours. When both checks pass, you are added to our contact records as an approved poster, with the date and how you signed up. You may be asked to confirm each post from your email. Keep your email address current; you may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close any account, and decline sign-ups, at our discretion.
4. Every post is reviewed
An approved account does not publish automatically. Each post is held for review and appears only after a person approves it. We may decline or edit any post.
5. Community content is published as-is and is not verified
Posts are written by community members. We verify the poster's email address and review each post for spam and fit, but we do not verify the identity of posters beyond that, the condition or ownership of items, prices, dates, locations or any claim in a post. Lucky Duck Productions LLC makes no promise that any post is accurate, complete, current, safe or lawful, and is not responsible for any transaction, meeting, loss or harm that comes from a post. Use your own judgment.
6. Stay safe
Meet in a public place, in daylight, and bring someone with you. Never send money in advance: no deposits, gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency or payment-app transfers for something you have not seen. Never share bank details, passwords or verification codes. Be wary of anyone who wants to move the conversation elsewhere quickly, offers to overpay, or pressures you to hurry. If a deal seems too good to be true, walk away.
7. What you may not post
Anything illegal, unsafe, recalled or stolen; weapons, ammunition, alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, prescription drugs or live animals for sale (lost and found pets and rehoming through a shelter or rescue are welcome); adult content; job offers, rentals, real estate or business services outside a paid business listing; chain letters, pyramid or "work from home" schemes; political or campaign content; content that harasses, discriminates or shares someone else's private information; links to outside sales sites; and anything you do not have the right to share, including photos you did not take.
8. Your responsibility for your post
You are responsible for what you post and for any transaction you make. You confirm that your post is accurate, lawful and yours to share. You give Lucky Duck Productions LLC permission to publish, edit for length or clarity, and remove your post on KlamathDeals.com, and to list a dated post on the KlamathLiving.com events calendar.
9. Review, removal and expiry
We may decline, edit or remove any post at any time, for any reason, without notice. Posts expire automatically: the day after their last date, or 21 days after they are published, whichever applies.
10. Reporting a post
If a post looks like a scam, is unsafe, or breaks these terms, use Report a post.
11. Privacy
Your email address and phone number stay with us and are not shown on the site unless you put them in "How people reach you". We use them to verify your account, confirm your posts and contact you about them.
12. No warranty; limitation of liability
Klamath Deals is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, Lucky Duck Productions LLC disclaims all warranties and is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from Klamath Deals, any post, or any dealings between users.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies.
